About me.

Denver is home for now. I have two great kids that fill my heart every single day. My friends are my family and without them I would probably lose my mind. Dirty jokes, tattoos, and music make my world go round. I love art in any form, with photography being my own personal obsession. Make me laugh and I'll pretty much adore you, like ridiculously so. Play time.

This afternoon I noticed the girl coming down the stairs with a handful of Barbies and the following conversation took place.

Me: Whatchya got there?

The girl: Some of my Barbies.

Me: Oh, reaaaally? You're finally going to play with some of them?

The girl: Yeah.

Me: Well, that's good. I guess the 1.56 million dollars we've spent on them over the years wasn't a complete waste.

The girl: Yeah! We're going to pretend they're drowning in the dog's water bowl.

Me: Oh.

I'm not sure that's what Mattel had in mind when they designed Holiday Barbie.

P.S. You might have noticed something a little different about my blog in the last 24 hours... My photos are now watermarked, something I've long resisted because they detract from photos. Yesterday I got an email that alerted me to a certain flickr account. Someone had set up an account with a similar first name and my last name and had stolen pics/blog content from here and posted them as THEIRS on flickr. Very creepy, very disturbing and fortunately Yahoo has deleted that account. Anyway, stealing photos from someone else is not only ILLEGAL it is also a very douchebag thing to do. So, "Jen McKee", if you're reading this: You are a douchebag. Over and out.

Well, drowning is at least an easy way to go... Glad you got the mess straightened out with your blog and photos.

At least your Barbies have hair. Ours do not.
I can't believe the gall of some people out there - I am glad you were alerted to the photo stealing, but still, that stinks.

I so hate that someone did that to you and that anyone would do that at all!!! Glad yahoo deleted it!

And, about the Barbies...ROTFLOL!!!

Too funny about the Barbies, poor things! And I agree, Jen McKee is not a nice person, glad to hear Yahoo deleted the account.

Hahahahaha...that totally cracks me up. My daughters don't play with them either really. They like Hannah Montana...yippee. I loved them when I was a little girl and have a massive collection.

I am so thankful that you were able to get the flikr acct removed. I cannot believe some people.

Too funny (doll story) - and it sucks that you have to watermark out the wazhoo...I just don't get people's mentality when it comes to poaching photos (and that is why I not only stamp my watermark, but also a DO NOT COPY across all my people photos.)

Funny story about the barbies. Was the photo before or after the drowning?
PHOTO STEALER= SUCKY PERSON!

nevermind, I see they are wet. :)

I see your Barbies seem to "lose" their clothing like ours do (and all dolls in this house, for that matter, LOL). Sucks about the photo stealing... I've had it happen to me too and it is seriously such an unnerving, frustrating, ANGERING experience! {{hugs}}
